Eric Sanderson wasn’t on my radar until I took one look at his reel. Not only can he beautifully merge his 3D and 2D work into an amazing composition that is full of shock and awe, he can do it in a beautiful way. Here’s a good reel from Brock Nordstrom at Type-4 that mixes some unique elements of 2D motion graphics with both 3D rendered pieces and recorded footage to create some interesting effects. His reel contains some different pieces that you don’t usually see in a lot of reels that give it a fresh, almost abstract feel. There’s some wonderful animation and really solid compositing going on here, as well as great use of plugins to stylize his shots. Definitely check this Aussie out because he’s going places. P.S.
