If G.I. Joe taught me anything it’s that knowing is half the battle and many websites will help you in this war by dolling out tutorials or tips among their other posts or projects (my site included), but Lynda.com is one of the select few that solely focuses its attention on educating you with its vasts amounts of tutorials and courses, and does it well.
In the over 14+ years this site has been active it has amassed over 46,000 tutorials for over 200 different applications on every subject you can possibly think of from motion graphics to blogging and everything in between that’s guaranteed to teach you a ton of new skills and make sure you don’t forget the skills you have gained so far. All the content is on video so you can watch, pause and re-watch whenever you want or need, and they include subtitles so it is easier for you to follow along. Also, new content is released weekly or daily so you know you’ll get the continuing education you need. You also receive Certificates of Completion as you pass courses which you can then show possible employers as proof you are continuing your education.
I can’t say enough about this website other than you need to use it. Memberships range from monthly to yearly and have different features for each. If you are thinking about trying it before you take the plunge then just go to the website and do a search for a subject, application, vendor or even author and a long list of free tutorials will come up for you to try. 10% of the entire content on the site is free for you to try. You can not go wrong by visiting this site, even if it’s just for the free content. You need to give it a try!
