About

I grew up in a small farming town in northern Minnesota, the youngest son of a construction worker and a nurse who taught me the meaning of hard work and dedication–lessons which I carried throughout my life. Years later, I found myself in Iraq with the Army National Guard where those same principles helped me persevere. It was here that I realized I had to follow my dreams. As soon as my feet were on American soil again, I moved to Minneapolis, MN where I studied Visual Effects & Motion Graphics Design. Though the times have changed, I still remember the lessons my parents taught me and I use them on every project and in every design.

I am currently a freelance motion graphics designer located in the Minneapolis, MN area working with clients such as 3M, Hennepin County Medical Center, Thomson Reuters, Betty Crocker, Michell Plested, CustomerContactApps.com and Dr. Marc Dauer, M.D. and companies such as Wide Angle Studios and ThreeVolts.

I have written about motion graphics design and business in various publications, more prevalently as my stint as Editor-in-Chief of Fuelyourmotionography.com, a website dedicated to everything motion graphics and film related.

If you are looking for help on your project, feel free to contact me and we can talk about how I can help make your project truly shine.

In my spare time I am DJ on the internet radio station, Subspace Radio (which is part of the Gaming Radio Network), where I host a two hour show called The Night Shift in which I play soundtracks from movies, television shows and video games, and talk about everything to do with the video game Star Trek Online.

I also create digital music (a cross somewhere between Chiptunes and Industrial) under the name Copernicus Theory.
